Known by several names (Saums Burial Ground, Danberry Cemetery or Zion Road Cemetery), this historic site in Hillsborough is a burial ground for Civil War veterans. Nestled into the Sourland Mountains in Somerset County and owned by the federal government, the cemetery held 25 gravestones, though some have been rendered illegible by the passage of time. In honor of Veterans Day, the Raritan Valley chapter of UNICO and CDP placed American flags on the graves of these Civil War soldiers.

Ed Danberry, of CDP, has an extensive family history of military service. The poster shown below outlines the military history of the Danberry Family, who served our country since the Revolutionary War. The Danberrys are members of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).
