Morris County’s oldest black congregation, Bethel African Episcopal Methodist Church, was first established in 1843. This historic church was vandalized in late November, its marquee glass sign smashed. Civic Duty Partners restored the sign and arranged to replace the HVAC system as the congregation could not hold winter services in the church due to the lack of heat inside the building.
